Denníky Los Angeles Times a The New York Times boli dnes ocenené prestížnou Pulitzerovou cenou za žurnalistiku.
Los Angeles Times získal ocenenie v kategórii služba verejnosti za reportáž o rozmáhajúcej sa korupcii v malom kalifornskom meste Bell, a v kategórii reportážna fotografia. Denník The New York Times dnes ocenili za zahraničné spravodajstvo o stagnujúcom justičnom systéme v Rusku a v kategórii komentár.
Pulitzerove ceny za žurnalistiku, literatúru, dramatické umenie, hudbu a poéziu udeľuje Pulitzerov výbor na pôde Kolumbijskej univerzity v New Yorku.
